Biking at its Peak! Descend Pikes Peak, Gold Camp Road, and the Rocky Mountains by Mountain E-Bike.
Colorado is one of the top states for mountain biking with some amazing trails. These rides are downhill with a guided vehicle ride to the start point, so almost no extra power is required, but the extra boost from the E-bike helps. Pikes Peak by E-Bike is the thrill of a lifetime and quoted as “the best bike tour in North America.” Our professional guides will lead you through the aspen groves, train tunnels, canyons, and trails of the Pikes Peak region.
New to E-Bikes? We offer private ride options for those who are looking to get back into biking and are looking to ride at their own pace.

It’s your tour, and it’s going to be EPIC!
Adventures Out West and Challenge Unlimited have a world-class bike team that will ensure your adventure down the mountain is spectacular and hopefully will become a lifelong memory. AOW’s custom-built Jeeps are perfect for seeing the mountain unobstructed, ensuring you have an amazing experience.
Your expedition starts when you meet your team and gear up at the bike shop. At check-in, you will be fitted and will test ride a perfectly maintained Rocky Mountain E-bike. Appropriate attire and a working knowledge of bikes is required. Long pants, a sweatshirt and sport shoes are the minimum items. Summit parkas and neck gaiters will be handed out for your crisp air journey to the summit. Gloves and a hat are welcome to be brought along. It is a 1.5-hour drive to the summit of America’s Mountain. All tours leave early in the morning to offer an adventure that is low on traffic and high on beautiful weather.

The drive to the summit is breathtaking. This is also your chance to check out the route you will be descending. Winding curves and cute critters dot the way. You will be riding with a local tour guide that will tell you all about Colorado and Pikes Peak. History, Geology, Flora, Fauna, and tales of the West are some of the things you will hear about.
Arriving at the summit is an unmatched experience. It’s the view that inspired Catherine Lee Bates to write ‘America the Beautiful.’ You will also see the brand new $20,000,000.00 Visitor Center. You will have a few minutes to enjoy the experience at the top and then it’s time to mount up and ride back down.

7,500 vertical feet of downhill, Yee-haw! Our guide leads your Colorado E-bike ride adventure, and the support vehicle will follow to help with any unplanned needs or if you just need to take a break. A few more stops along the way for photo ops, then an epic finish at the base of the mountain.
Afterwards, your guide will drive you through the Garden of the Gods Park, rated by Trip Advisor as the #1 city park in the Nation.

Temperatures will be 30-40 degrees cooler than Colorado Springs and the air is thin. Most mornings the summit temperature is near freezing. Dress in layers. Long pants or sweats or appropriate. You can put extra cloths in the chase vehicle as you warm up.

Guests who are uncomfortable with the bike or those who want to come along to watch and experience Pikes Peak with their friends can ride in the Jeep for a reduced fee of $129 for the tour. You, the guest, are in charge of the bicycle. People can and do fall. If you break your bike you will ride in the Jeep for the remainder of your tour. We have CPR trained guides on tour and hope they are not needed. Please follow your guide and keep your speeds under control and you will likely have an incident free activity.

PRIVATE TOURS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THOSE WHO PREFER THEIR OWN SPEED AND SCHEDULE.
